GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATOR – 2001 to Present  Illinois Mine Subsidence Insurance Fund,  Research geologic maps cross-sections, profiles, well logs, aerial photos, as well as, other historical data that might assist in analysis of mine subsidence investigations.  Responsibilities include the planning and implementation of geologic investigations.  Investigations include the installation of geologic instrumentation, soil sampling, researching mine maps, mining records, as well as, reviewing past surveys.  Analyze field samples and data to identify soil types, groundwater conditions, and instability problems, such as slope failure and mine subsidence.  Compile and interpret information from geologic documents, actual test results and other field studies.  Prepare technical reports of findings.  Assist other geologists in field investigations or surveys.

SURVEYOR – 1989 to 2001  Illinois Mine Subsidence Insurance Fund,   Conduct precise level surveys for mine subsidence investigation.  Coordinate survey crews.  Create computer maps for surveying and mine subsidence (CAD).  Track and record all survey books, maps and notes.

SURVEY TECHNICIAN – 1986 to 1989  Geo-Technical Associates, Inc.,  Prepare drawings for courtroom displays.  Create survey and contour maps.  Conduct precise level surveys for mine subsidence investigations.  Supervise and schedule duties of survey crews.

DRAFTSMAN / CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR – 1984 to 1986  rhutasel and Associates, Inc.,  Prepare architectural and engineering drawings, survey maps, and subdivision plats.  Work with survey department as rodman.  Construction Inspector for wastewater treatment facility.  Determine compliance with blueprints and specifications.
