Robertson’s European Vacation

The epic comedy is rapidly approaching, with passports, a few euros, plane tickets and bags packed… whoa wait! Too early, bags are not packed yet, didn’t get to the bank to pick up any euros yet, and it is still about 17 days till we leave. Heck, I haven’t figured out how we are getting to the airport, drive our own car and parking in the long term parking lot, have someone drive and drop us off, or take Metrolink. For a comedy, taking the Metrolink could add an element fun and possible mishap. So many things to think about and get ready before we go. I have planned a lot of family vacations, but this is so different than just making sure the kids have some fun things to do. All of our family vacations, usually revolve around history or learning something about the area, so this is right up my alley. Germany and France will be sooooooo Awesome! So much history, art, architecture, culture, people, scenery (which means geology), we are going to take so many photos, I’m even thinking about getting a new camera. Maybe a video camera, wait…France…hummm (remember the scene in “National Lampoon’s European Vacation”) maybe a video camera is not a good idea! And remember…”Honey, we’re not normal people. We’re the Griswolds”, well the Robertson’s.

This is going to be sooooooo much fun!
